DHIS2 Academy Level 2 – Android Implementation Academy, Zimbabwe, February 2018
The aim of the academy was to bring together implementers, partners and experts of DHIS2 Android tools in order to bridge the gap between currently used and state of the art implementation approaches. Feedback from DHIS2 Android projects in the community had showed that the implementation of these enterprise systems is a complex task, with little documentation on successes, failures, best practices and approaches. Consequently, many implementations operate on a trial and error basis, thus fail to scale.
The objectives of the academy were to:
– Identify and manage components of enterprise DHIS2 Android app deployment
– Set-up Enterprise Mobility Management
– Plan, pilot and scale DHIS2 Android systems
– Apply mobile device security and enforce policy
– Recognise appropriate DHIS2 Android use cases
– Support the roadmap and effectively engage the DHIS2 Android community
– Appraise ongoing implementations and propose improvements
